There are three cabins on this lake, and in most cases number one is the best option for floatplanes. It is located on a point and there is possible tie ups on either side to protect the airplane from weather.

Facilities:

Sleeps 4 (maximum 4) with a maximum stay of 5 consecutive nights. This cabin is very cozy for two and has a view of Denali and MT. Foraker across the lake. Summer access for Lynx Lake cabin 1 is via the canoe trail system. The summer parking lot/trailhead is at Tanaina Lake mile 4.7 Nancy Lake Parkway. Nancy Lake Parkway is mile 67.3 Parks Highway, approximately 90 minute driving time from Anchorage.The canoe trail involves crossing several lakes and portages between lakes for about 4 miles to reach the cabin and takes approximately half a day. Lynx Lake cabin 1 is also accessible by floatplane in the summer. Winter access is by registered snowmobile, skis, snowshoe, or dog sled using the winter trail. Park at the Winter Trailhead at mile 2.2 Nancy Lake Parkway during the winter months. From the Winter Trailhead visitors must travel 6-7 miles along the unplowed portion of Nancy Lake Parkway and across several frozen lakes.ATVs prohibited. Lynx Lake cabin 1 can also be reached by plane in the winter. Lynx Lake cabin 1 is not reachable during freeze up or break up when the ice is too thin to support weight.
