The cabin was replaced in 2015 with a new larger log cabin. This is one of four cabins on the lake with 1, 2, and 4 accessible by a trail system. This cabin has the second best tie up for floatplanes. Bring wood as there is often a low supply on site.
Facilities:
Sleeps 6 (maximum 8) with a maximum stay of 5 consecutive nights. Nancy Lake Cabin #2 has been replaced with a brand new log cabin, and will be open for use starting JANUARY 23, 2016. Note that is it NOT at the exact same location. It has been moved to an upland birch forest ½ mile by trail from the old cabin site. The easiest access is by walking, skiing or by snowmachine from the Nancy Lake Public Use Cabin Trailhead at Mile 1.8 Nancy Lake Parkway; follow the signs, 1⁄3 -mile trail to the cabin. Note that the new cabin is no longer easily accessible from the lake. The new cabin has 2 bunk beds, a storage loft, outside picnic table, fireplace and overlooks scenic Nancy Lake.
Directions:
The easiest access is by walking, skiing or by snowmachine from the Nancy Lake Public-Use Cabin Trailhead at Mile 1.8 Nancy Lake Parkway; follow the signs 1/3-mile trail to the cabin. ATVs prohibited. Snowmobile openings announced when there is sufficient snow cover to protect underlying vegetation.
