This is one of the largest cabins in the system and is great for large groups to stay in. There is a large covered deck perfect for enjoying the scenery. This is one of four cabins on the lake with 1, 2, and 4 accessible by a trail system. Tom Bass is quoted as saying, “When I landed here there was a family group of about 20 which fit with no problem. The kids were sleeping outside in tents.”

Facilities:

Sleeps 8 (maximum 8) with a maximum stay of 5 consecutive nights. Nancy Lake Public Use Cabin 4 within the Nancy Lake State Recreation Area is a rustic cabin on the shore of scenic Nancy Lake. It is an insulated frame building and is equipped with wooden sleeping platforms, shelves, tables, a wood-burning stove (for heating only), and chairs or benches. The water supply is from the lakes. Please be sure to purify the water before using it.

The Nancy Lake Public Use Cabin #4 is available for rent. However, due to earthquake damage, access and use of the front porch is prohibited at this time until further notice. For your safety, access has been restricted. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Directions:

The easiest access is by walking, skiing or by snow machine from the Nancy Lake Public-Use Cabin Trailhead at Mile 1.8 Nancy Lake Parkway; follow the signs 1/3-mile trail to the cabin. ATVs prohibited. Snowmobile openings announced when there is sufficient snow cover to protect underlying vegetation.
