This site has been made for pilots and non-pilot outdoor adventurers looking to enjoy the public use cabin system, which is a unique treasure in Alaska. If we do not use the cabins we will lose them!
This is a great cabin for spotting bears year round. The cabin is situated on a long lake which opens the possibility of rough water hitting the shore. There is a cove 200 yards from the cabin that could provide good protection for tying up the airplane. There is a soft sand beach in front of the cabin that is good for tying up when the conditions are calmer.
Facilities:
This is a standard cabin that sleeps up to 4, with two bunk beds and no mattresses. Cabin is situated 200 yards from the lake. This site features a oil stove for heat. There is also a storage shed for storing food or hanging meat.
